I gave a party in May 2026 at The Back Lane Tavern in Woodstock to celebrate living in my Woodstock cottage for 10 years. Here are some of the thank-you cards I received, mounted and framed by Richard and thus preserved for posterity. It’s a wonderful way to remember a special event.

Dancing at Dawn by Lizzie Wheeler is an outstanding example of a black and white print that knows exactly when to stop. It never fails to hold my attention and is always enchanting.

Silver Light-Harris by Anthony Barber hung on Iona House Gallery’s walls one day and I fell in love with it at first sight. I look at it all the time, whenever I pass – and it always looks back.

Rose Downes is only fifteen, yet her marvellous drawing of Blenheim Palace shows a maturity that heralds real talent. This original work is marvellously held in Richard’s frame.
